Risk Disclosure

Version 2026-06-17 · Last updated 2026-06-17

Trading financial instruments carries a substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for every investor. Please read this disclosure carefully before creating an account, connecting a broker, or enabling any strategy. By using Apex Trader you acknowledge that you understand and accept these risks.

You can lose money — potentially more than you deposit

The value of investments and the income from them can go down as well as up, and you may not get back the amount you invested. Leveraged products such as futures, options, margin, and many crypto-derivatives can result in losses that exceed your initial deposit. Only trade with risk capital — money you can afford to lose.

No guarantee of performance

Past performance is not indicative of future results. Backtests and simulated or hypothetical results have inherent limitations: they are produced with hindsight, do not involve real capital, and cannot fully account for liquidity, slippage, fees, or market impact. No representation is made that any account will or is likely to achieve results similar to those shown.

Automated and algorithmic trading risk

Strategies you build, enable, or schedule may place orders automatically, including while you are not actively monitoring them. Automated systems can behave unexpectedly due to configuration errors, faulty logic, unusual market conditions, or data issues, and may generate a rapid series of orders. You are responsible for configuring, testing, supervising, and — where appropriate — halting your strategies.

Technology, data, and connectivity risk

The Service depends on software, networks, third-party brokers, exchanges, and data providers that may fail, be delayed, or be inaccurate. Outages, latency, delayed or erroneous market data, or order-routing failures can occur and may cause losses. Market data shown in the Service may be delayed and should not be relied upon as real-time.

Market-specific risks

Different asset classes carry different risks. Futures and options are leveraged and can move sharply. Crypto-assets are highly volatile, may trade 24/7, and may be subject to limited regulation and custody risk. Equities and FX are subject to market, liquidity, gap, and overnight risk. Some markets can move faster than orders can be executed.

Not investment advice

Apex Trader does not provide personalized investment, legal, tax, or accounting advice. Signals, analytics, AI-generated commentary, and other outputs are informational only. You are solely responsible for your trading decisions. Consider seeking advice from a licensed professional before trading.

Your responsibility

You are solely responsible for all orders and trading activity associated with your account and any connected broker, whether entered manually or generated automatically. Ensure you understand each instrument and strategy before trading it with real funds.
